Version history

Follow the development of Stone, from the original Windows app to the new Stone app.

Dates show when each change was made, so not every update here was released publicly. Early versions of the new app were numbered 1.0 before the numbering restarted at 0.1.

The new Stone app

Newest first. Download links are included where available.

Stone Self-Hosted

  • A new edition of the Mac app that runs on Stone's own servers instead of Microsoft Azure. It's built on v0.1.27 and is still in testing.
  • It installs alongside the regular app and keeps its own sign-in, projects and recordings.
  • You sign in through your web browser.
  • Share links open on chalk.writeinstone.com rather than my.writeinstone.com.
  • Session notes and research don't sync in this edition yet.
